CoRR Achieves CARF accreditation for all Placer County Sites

June 19, 2012

Following a successful survey of all Placer County sites, we are excited to announce that CoRR is now fully accredited at all of our facilities throughout Nevada and Placer counties!  (Nevada County sites were accredited previously in 2011).  Newly accredited sites are Auburn Outpatient; Placer Mothers in Recovery; South Placer Residential Treatment Program; Roseville Outpatient; Lincoln Outpatient; and King’s Beach Outpatient.  See all service sites here.

What does this mean?  This accomplishment represents three primary achievements or outcomes for our organization and the communities we serve: 1) an enhanced level of care 2) improved access to care for individuals and families 3) greater sustainability.

The accreditation process applies sets of standards to service areas and business practices during an on-site survey process which includes rigorous examination of policies, procedures, and staffing. Accreditation is an ongoing process, signaling to the public that a service provider is committed to continuously improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community. Accreditation also demonstrates a provider’s commitment to enhance its performance, manage its risk, and distinguish its service delivery.

Most insurance companies will only approve services at accredited sites, so this accreditation allows CoRR to better serve our clients, as we can accept insurance from major providers. Most importantly, it ensures the highest standard of care for our community.

Founded in 1966 as the Commission on  Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, CARF International is an independent, non-profit accreditor of human service providers in the areas of aging services, behavioral health, child and youth services, employment and community services, medical rehabilitation, and opioid treatment programs. Through  CARF assists service providers in improving the quality of their services, demonstrating value, and meeting internationally recognized organizational and program standards.
